Where the pure waters of Kattegat wash ashore on The Danish Riviera there lies an impressive string of beaches, offering great experiences for families with children as well as for nature lovers and the adventurous.
The amazing and practically unspoilt coastline weaves over the top of North Sealand and all the way around Sjællands Odde and the Sejerø bay.
The beaches along The Danish Riviera are among the finest and most family-friendly in Denmark, and in Europe. A string of wonderful sandy beaches, where safety for children and their families is of the highest quality. Look forward to the dunes and the salty sea air, which are enjoyable all year round.
Our bathing water is monitored thoroughly during the whole season. On many of the beaches along the Riviera, you can check the results of the latest bathing water measurements. You can also find information on the quality of the bathing water on the websites of the different municipalities.

On a beach carrying The Blue Flag, there are lots of exciting activities. You can play stone bingo, find out the difference between a female and a male crab, participate in crab races, and many other fun things.
By the way, remember to keep your dog on a leash at the beach. Check the website of the Naturstyrelsen for further information.
The Blue Flag
